30 video marketing stats that will make you want to start filming straight away

Video Marketing

social media and lead generation

Have you noticed how all the ‘big dogs’ in your industry post video marketing content so much more than anyone else? We totally get it – creating and posting consistent video content can be frustrating and difficult. It’s a full-time job on its own.

First up, you need great ideas and a team to bounce those ideas off. You need professional equipment and know how to use it. You also need to be proficient in video editing software and be able to skilfully put together video clips and text or animation.

As much as it can be time-consuming, it is without a doubt the way forward. Video content is all around us in 2018. It’s so common that it’s now prioritised over every other piece of content posted on social media. We are so familiar with it now, that we expect it and want to see it daily. In case you don’t believe us, we’ve pulled some really interesting stats together that you’ll want to check out.

Stats to remember

It doesn’t have to be a feature-length film or Oscar nomination worthy, but as long as you are producing video content and posting it regularly then you are on the right path. As consumers, our social media trends are changing constantly and we now don’t have time to scroll through lengthy chunks of text. (Well, we probably do have the time but we don’t want to).

Create short and snappy videos with an engaging message and you’ll connect with your audience on a much more valuable level. The statistic that stuck out for me in all those facts and figures was, ‘One minute of video is worth 1.8 million words. (Forrester Research)’ – how mind-blowing is that?

I think the only thing left to say is: lights, camera, action!
